Blades target Tyler Roberts has officially signed for Queens Park Rangers. According to MOT Leeds News, United were looking at securing the Welsh forwards services this summer.

Now that Roberts has signed for QPR, you’d imagine United’s best hopes to acquire a forward this summer would be in another Welsh forward, Tom Lawrence.

It’s been a brilliant last few days for the Blades on the transfer front, shipping out an unwanted forward in Oli Burke, as well as adding depth in various areas of the squad. United so far this summer have extended the contract of reliable goalkeeper Adam Davies, signed a promising midfielder in Tommy Doyle, and recently confirmed the astute signing of a versatile defender in Anel Ahmedhodzic.

Seemingly all that’s left for United to sign this window is a forward. Having seen strikers David McGoldrick, Oli Burke and Lys Mousset depart this summer, United would hope to further solidify the area at the top of the pitch.

With both parties interested in the move, is Tom Lawrence going to be the next one through the door at Bramall Lane?
