Keeping things close to the chest.

That was the attitude that Chris Wilder took during his press conference yesterday as he looked ahead to tomorrows’ game against Leeds United. Defender John Egan is suspended for the game following his red card against Aston Villa on Monday night, and that will call for a few tweaks to how the team plays.

I’m under the belief that it should be a straight swap of Ethan Ampadu in for Egan, but when he talked about his plans for the game, he didn’t want to give too much away in terms of what he’s going to do:

Ethan Ampadu will start ____ than 25 games for Sheffield United this season?

I think it will be interesting to see if there any ‘radical’ changes to how Wilder attacks this game, and whether or not it is going to be a straight swap for Egan (whoever that defender might end up being), or if there will be a serious change in both formation and philosophy for the occasion.

What about you? What do you think Wilder should do in terms of team selection to replace Egan?
