The more eagle eyed amongst you all may have noticed that everything’s looking a little different on Vital Sheff Utd.

On the morning of the Blades derby day victory we completed the re-design which includes new banners and a slick new silver feel.

I’d just like to thank everyone for their support with Vital, and everyone’s membership is valued greatly. We reached 400 members today, which is up 321 since I took over last May.

We even have a new image to celebrate the new look, which includes Jamie Ward’s goal from Friday. https://sheffutd.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/photos/show-album.asp?albumid=1&photoid=8

If anybody would like to design a banner then feel free and either email me to say it’s done or post it on the Facebook page. However, there are a couple of rules which have come from ‘the powers that be’ above.

The size for the banner will be: 854 x 114 and weight under 50k. If you have permission from the club to use the badge, that can be used, if not… well, it can’t basically! Would also rather not many if any player images, it causes problems with licenses, clubs moaning etc. IF you use any (and if you use too many, I’ll simply say no.. big bad wolf that I am) they have to be paphoto’s, we can’t just have images from anywhere for obvious copyright reasons. You can run ideas passed me if you wish.

It’s not only banners, if you’d like to contribute anything, whether it’s a feature on your favourite player, a golden oldie (here’s looking at Glouc & Harrogate rubbing their hands) or a match report, then everything’s welcome. After all, this is your site, and contributions are great.

With the new look comes a new look forum. Gone are the old archaic posts that were clogging it up, and it’s now fresh and ready to use. The forum gives you a great chance to speak about what you want. If I’ve been a bit slow on the pick-up of a story, or just not reported it at all, it’s perfect for you to report it yourself. I’ve said it before but the Wednesday forum is excellent and if you need proof of how well it can work, have a look at Vital Sheffield Wednesday.

That’s all for now folks, keep posting, and hopefully Vital Sheff Utd will be a Premier League site next year.

p.s. We have a range of Images on the Facebook group and the ‘Images’ section on the forum. All of these are available for your mobile phone for free, just contact me.
