Lots of Blades fans have been reacting to some rather remarkable statistics when it comes to the current side.
The club released a graphic yesterday showing our list of top scorers this season, with John Fleck and Lys Mousset holding the distinction of being top of the pile with five goals each.
On one hand, it’s pretty impressive that we’ve managed to get as high in the table as we are right now despite not having that big main 20 goal a season striker on our books. On the other hand, just think where we could be if we did have such a man playing for us. Turning some of those draws into wins, and losses into draws, we’d be challenging Liverpool at this rate.

However, it has provided the Bramall Lane faithful with a little bit of debate to be had whilst they wait for football to return, whenever that may be.

And this kind of touches on my point about David McGoldrick & his goal record this season.
It shows what a remarkable job the defence has done and how important it is to keep the defence in tact.With a quality striker we could be even higher up the league.It is the defence that is outstanding and having the best goalie in the league must be worth a few points.We might not have him next year so it is important to get a goal scorer in.Easier said than done I know .It is strange that our strength is our defence because we are not a defensive type of club but the great Brian Clough always said build a team from the back not from the front and look what he did at Forest who were not ment to do as good as they did.

In a previous article you stated that our central midfielders need to contribute more goals, now you are highlighting that they are amongst our top scorers, you moron – as I’ve told you before, Fleck, Lundstram and Norwood have scored more than Henderson, Wijnaldum and Fabinho this season, but that point seems lost on you! As does the fact that even though Firminho hadn’t scored in 18 games at Anfield until the Atletico Madrid game, but still plays every week, because of what he contributes to the team.
Why don’t you write something positive and show some fucking respect? Instead of trying to create controversy by hammering a team who are, and have, for 3 years performed above and beyond any realistic expectations set by anyone who has any clue about the game, which you very obviously do not.
