Pretty soon these words are going to have to start turning into actions.

I said a couple of days ago this was going to be a problem, and now it looks as if that realisation is starting to show up in the minds of the likes of Chris Wilder.

The hunt for a new man up front continues for the Blades, but there’s yet to be any major progress on that front despite the season and the transfer window being open for some time now.

Speaking after the game with Aston Villa (via @The_Bladesman), Wilder gave yet another update as to what is happening in regards a search for a new forward in the window, and once again he pointed out that it was going to take time to be completed:

“We need somebody in the building, I’ve told the owners.  Made it very obvious. We’re working hard. There’s a few out there. It’s not as easy as people think. Got to go through the  dance in terms of how much money.”

Will we sign Brewster this window?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Let’s just hope that the owners have paid attention to Wilder’s messages, because whilst our defence clearly needs some work, as pointed out by another one of Wilder’s post-match comments, the fact we haven’t scored this season should also be a major concern for not only Blades fans but the rest of the club as well.

I’ve been pointing out our lack of potency upfront for a number of months now, but there hasn’t been much done about it up to this point, and it shouldn’t have taken this long for the club to realise there was a problem.

And if they’d have addressed the problem earlier, we wouldn’t be so up against the clock like it seems we are now.

What about you? What do you make of Wilder’s comments?
