“For me, they’re going to struggle”- Blades boss sends out major warning ahead of season restart

|

It’s merely the latest in a series of ‘we’ll be ready; will you be?’ messages coming from the club.

And to be honest, it’s making me feel all the more excited about the restart of the season.

Speaking in a recent interview with The Star, Blades boss Chris Wilder talked about the mentality that clubs will have to show when it comes to the season starting back up again, and that he thinks his players will be totally ready to go when called upon:

“Teams are going to have to be 100 per cent together. If they’re not, then for me, they’re going to struggle. You’ve got to be all in. Our lads are.”

This follows on from the likes of Oliver Norwood who recently stated that the team that is up to the intensity the most will come out victorious in our first game back against Aston Villa, but you can apply that logic out to the rest of the games as well.

Do you agree with Wilder's comments?

Yes

No

We’ve seen the likes of Sergio Aguero express some doubts when it comes to the season restarting again, and if that feeling is shared amongst some players in the team, then as Wilder points out, there’s going to be problems when it comes to going in the same direction.

At least with Sheffield United, we know that all the players are doing just that, whether it be with comments from Wilder, Norwood or George Baldock to name but a few, and that could be what gives us a major boost when the season does resume next week.

What about you? What do you make of these comments from Wilder?

Let’s hope some of our opponents are not totally prepared, we have only beaten three teams we have left to play.
