Decisions, decisions.
And there’s only one week left for Chris Wilder to make his mind up on it.
The Star put out an article in which they ‘crunched the numbers’ on who the Blades should go with in central midfield, between one of the more regular squad men in John Lundstram or the relatively new, and club-record signing Sander Berge.
They looked at both their defensive and attacking aspects of the game and what each man brings to the table, but I could never do it justice in describing it to you and there are a lot of numbers, so I urge you to read the article yourself to fully understand it.
Will John Lundstram sign a new long-term deal?
Yes
No
However, Blades fans on social media have been having their say on the matter, and they seem to be leaning more towards the Norwegian midfielder believing that he offers more, although there were some who said that their decision came down to Lundstram’s contract situation more than anything else.
Sander Berge every day of the week and twice on Sundays ..
Don’t give up on a kid after a few games when you’ve spent £20m ..
Looks class in patches, up sticks and moved here mid season,
said from start give him a full pre season and watch him go next year. https://t.co/RD8Hh77Zyd— Chico02 (@dannyricho7) June 9, 2020
Sander is the future. Get him in. This kids gonna be one of the biggest talents in Europe in a couple of years. By all accounts, Lundstrams wantin more money so 🤷🏻♂️

Wilder did not spend 22mil Berge to have him just sit on the bench. He’s going to give him games. Lunny was excellent against Bournemouth when he came on. His performances have improved of late and his runs into the box are amazing. Will miss him if he goes.

Problem is Lunny doesn’t want to be back up. We saw how angry he was at being dropped during his goal v Bmouth.

If he’s happy to stay then lunny, if not put berge in

What about you? Who do you think should get the nod against Aston Villa?
It’s time to change the shape. 4-3-3. Henderson
Baldock. Egan. O’Connell. Stevens
Norwood. Berge. Fleck
New. Mousett. New
Were going to be playing every 4 days so both of them will get plenty of game time.
Berge is the sort of signing that should be made in every position
Are we supposed to turn down top quality full backs because we’ve got Stevens and Baldock ?
No, it would be stupid
One of the reasons we always end up in trouble eventually is because we signed back up players for a first team that wasn’t that good to start with.
Every player coming in from now on should be a player that can walk into the first team.
It improves the players that already have the shirt as well as providing the squad quality we need
