On loan goalkeeper Mark Bunn has extended his loan deal until January with Paddy Kenny’s future still uncertain.

It was expected that Kenny’s future would have been decided by now, but following an appeal to delay the hearing, Kevin Blackwell has taken action to make sure we have adequate cover for the Irishman.

Bunn was originally signed on a month’s loan, to the disappointment of some fans, but in his four outings, where he has conceded just two goals, the 24 year old has become an instant hit.

Manager Blackwell has also been quick to thank Rovers boss Sam Allardyce.

‘We are indebted to Sam because we know he will have been concerned about leaving his own club short of cover.

‘Getting Mark in for longer is a big relief considering the position we find ourselves in. He has settled, done well and his presence will maintain continuity instead of having to start all over again.’
