Back to the way things were then I guess.
The Premier League announced yesterday, that clubs have agreed not to carry on with the five substitutes rule heading into the new season, reverting things back to the original three during the game and matchday squads back down to eighteen from twenty.
The move, initially brought in to help ease some of the burden on the players because of the fixture congestion brought about to end the season as soon as possible. Although given how next season is looking, I reckon there might be a few teams that will be needing them before too long, but we’ll just have to wait and see about that.
Do you agree with this ruling from the Premier League?
Yes
No
Chris Wilder wasn’t a big fan of the rule last season, so it will surely be music to his ears, as was the case with these Sheffield United fans on social media when the news was announced.
Good, I read that the vote was 11:9 – anyone know which clubs? (we can make a good guess for most)

What about you? Do you think the Premier League clubs were right to get rid of this rule?
