The Senegalese star Iliman Ndiaye has been a breath of fresh air since coming into the first team in September of last season.

Ndiaye, 22, has tremendous talent with the attitude and work rate to go with it. He has that special kind of ability about him where he makes the entire crowd stand up whenever he goes on a run.

Since the back end of last season, Iliman Ndiaye has netted 8 times in 12 league games. In the last campaign, the scintillating forward bagged 7 goals in the Championship during his first professional season of football.

This season, he has already scored 4 times as he looks set to get into double figures. Ndiaye has only had 6 shots on target so far this season. His expected goals from the chances he’s scored from should have seen him score only 2 goals so far.

But the brilliance of his dribbling has seen him score an outrageous goal against Blackburn where he took on their entire team from the halfway line and bent it into the corner. Then his goal against Reading showed off his trickery even more as he shifted the ball and manipulated the defence to create half a yard to shoot, and he found the net.

Blades boss Paul Heckingbottom told Yorkshire Live that the club are planning on extending Ndiaye’s contract. Heckingbottom said: “It will be after the window. There have been internal conversations and I have stressed how important it is [to extend his contract].”
