After Tuesday night’s 4-0 thumping of Reading at Bramall Lane, Sheffield United sit at the top of the table again.

All four of United’s wins this season have come at home, scoring 11 goals and conceding just once. Even at this early stage of the season, United have played and beaten a team at the top of the league three times: Millwall 2-0, Blackburn 3-0 and Reading 4-0.

The Blades have made Bramall Lane a fortress this season. But this outstanding home form stems back to last season since Paul Heckingbottom took charge of the club.

In the last 19 home games, United have accumulated 14 wins and only tasted defeat once. The Blades have kept 15 clean sheets, conceding 5 goals and scoring 36 times during this spell.

However, the away form is quite the contrast. In the last 10 away games, they have won one game, lost 4 and drew 5 times. United have scored 8 goals and they have let in 12 goals in this period.

United have a chance to kickstart their away form for the season this weekend, as they travel to Yorkshire rivals Hull City on Sunday afternoon. Though it will be tricky because Hull have won 3 from 3 at home so far, one of which includes a 2-1 win against promotion-chasing Norwich City.
