“Some technique”, “nonchalant”- These Blades in awe over two incredible goals after club tweet

These Blades fans have been drooling over footage of some quite spectacular goals that we managed to score a few years ago.

I honestly don’t recall too many goals being hit that well over the years at Bramall Lane, although in my mind it still doesn’t quite match up to Phil Jagielka’s finish against Middlesbrough back in 2006/07. Mainly because Jagielka is a defender so he gets extra ‘style points’ as it were.

It was on this day two years ago, that two very impressive goals from Lee Evans helped us on our way to victory against the same opponents as we defeated Boro 2-1 in the Championship. It was a match that gave us some slight hope of reaching the playoffs that season, before we ultimately fell short. Although we made up for it the following season, so no big loss.

Needless to say though, Blades fans really enjoyed re-watching the footage of the two goals, as they flooded to social media to pile on the praise for the midfielder and his incredible finishing.
