Saturday’s 3-1 victory over Newry Town was noticeable for the exclusion of United’s latest signings Lee Hendrie and Billy Sharp.
However, although both players are not yet fully fit, Bryan Robson has said they will feature in at least some part of the pre-season tour of Ireland.
Sharp, along with Ahmed Fathi, is nursing a slight knock, while Hendrie is trying to work on improving his fitness since joining the Blades last week.
Speaking on the duo, Robson told the official club site, ‘They will definitely feature before we go home but there is no point in rushing them at this stage.’
Tuesday’s encounter with Longford may be too soon for the pair, who are most likely to feature against Portadown on Saturday.
