Well if he’s taking notice to ideas from abroad, perhaps this will put a stop to all this talk of ‘Total Brexit’ at Sheffield United.

Although I get the feeling that it’s going to take something a lot more than that to totally rid us of the label, but at least it’s a start.

Whilst British football fans seem to be enjoying the return of the Bundesliga, it’s not just the supporters who appear to be taking notice of the league and their efforts to get football up and running again, it looks as if the managers are too.

Speaking to the club website, Blades boss Chris Wilder spoke about how much he is watching his German counterparts, and how they can inspire the Premier League to do the same:

“There are an awful lot of opinions flying about but thankfully there is a light at the end of the tunnel that we can all get back to normality in terms of our working. We watch quite a lot of the Bundesliga, it’s an interesting division with some great players, great teams and great tactics. There’s an enormous amount of enthusiasm in this country to watch football and I think that’s a great gauge of what the Premier League will be like when we get back.”

Are you a fan of Chris Wilder's attitude here?

Yes

Yes

No

It’s no secret just how much Wilder wants football to return in some fashion, in fact you could make the argument that he has been one of the leading figures in wanting the game to come back providing that it’s done the right way.

And I think that he makes a great comparison to how things are done in Germany, at least when it comes to on the pitch matters. Teams around the world are going to see that football isn’t really all that different given the circumstances, and that you can still play the game even if it’s not what you’re used to.

And hopefully that will speed up the process a lot more compared to where we could be if we took a completely passive approach.
