Sheffield United travel to London today to face Crystal Palace for the first Premier League match of 2021, but will Chris Wilder have made changes to the side which lost by a single goal at Burnley on 29 December.

The Blades have made just one change to the side which lost at Turf Moor with George Baldock being replaced by Jayden Bogle who makes his first start for the Blades. He did make his first appearance for United on 20 December. He came off the substitute’s bench and rewarded the club with a goal. 

16-year-old Academy striker Antowine Hackford has also been included in the squad, after he travelled with Sheffield United to Selhurst Park, and starts on the bench.

The Blades have also, only named six substitutes from a maximum seven available.

Sheffield United will be without midfielders Sander Berge and John Lundstram ahead of today’s clash at Crystal Palace. Berge, who made his Blades debut at Crystal Palace last season is sidelined with a thigh injury, which he sustained in the 3-2 defeat to Manchester United on 17th December and is expected to be absent for around three months. Meanwhile, Lunstram was sent off in the 1-1 draw at Brighton & Hove Albion on 20th December and is serving the third of a three-match suspension. He has already sat out the 1-0 defeats against former club Everton on Boxing Day, and at Burnley, and will be available for selection for the FA Cup tie at Bristol Rovers. Also, Jack O’Connell (knee) is sidelined for the season. However, striker Oli McBurnie is doubtful with a shoulder injury but may be included with a late fitness test.
