Well, I suppose this really is a show of just how bad the incident was.
When you’ve got fans from across the football spectrum showing their support for you, then something must really be going badly.
Sheffield United were robbed of three points on Wednesday night when a goal that clearly went over the line wasn’t awarded by the referee.
Speaking to the media after the game, Oliver Norwood, the player whose free-kick led to the whole incident decided not to put too much blame on the side of referee Michael Oliver and his assistants, instead, turning his attention to the technology in place to help them.
“To be fair to the referee, it’s not him is it? It’s the technology behind it, his watch hasn’t worked. Don’t understand why we have VAR, it’s a clear and obvious error. Why can’t they just say it’s a goal.”
Who should take the blame for what happened?
The tecnhology
The officials
And his comments garnered support not just from those who wear the red and white stripes, there were fans from other clubs who wanted to join in and support Norwood’s message.
As a Norwich fan, im gutted you fellas got cheated by a tech system. Norwood is spot on here.

EXACTLY right oli, not ref fault, what is the point in VAR?
— Danny (@8djc8) June 17, 2020
what’s the point in VAR if it won’t step in when needed

Grace and dignity. Despite the circumstances. Love my club and love the players. Stay classy. We are Blades.

Villa would have refused to play on, as they did vs Leeds last season. Fine hawk eye millions and give the cash to sheff utd and sack the var offical for not allowing the goal.

More to the point why bother with Linesemen??

As much as I adore the „we won’t moan about it“ attitude of Sheffield United, this has come to a point where it’s no longer acceptable! Those robbed points will be missed at the end of the season. Everybody saw that goal on TV so VAR must have seen it as well. IT‘S FRAUD. Period.

What a player, what a man. Accepting of a clear cut terrible decision that went against the Blades, but brushing himself down and looking towards the next game. Could cost the club millions on final position pay day though. Certain I wouldn’t have been able to stay so composed 😡

What about you? Who do you blame the most in this situation? The technology or the officials?
Come on var new it was a goal and would not confirm it with the ref it is just fraud and Sheff Utd should be awarded a one nil win and no one should complain
