Sheffield United are getting ever closer to officially announcing the signing of Reda Khadra. It is understood that the Brighton player is set to complete his medical today.

Sources have now stated that there is an obligation-to-buy attached to the season-long loan deal. It is said that if the attacking flair player reaches a certain number of games then the Blades can make him a permanent signing for a fee.

Additionally, if United gain promotion this season then they can also choose to sign him to the club permanently.

Yorkshire Live understands the first part of his medical took place yesterday and he will undergo the remaining stages this morning.

If there are no complications with Khadra’s medical, the club are hopeful of unveiling the 21 year-old as a Sheffield United player, either today or tomorrow. This would give Khadra a few days to get used to his new teammates in time to face Watford next Monday, in the season opener.
