His Name’s Elrio, Will He Be Dancing At The Lane?

Sheffield United have taken South African midfielder Elrio Van Heerden from Blackburn Rovers.

The 26 year old, Port Elizabeth born midfielder has enjoyed a successful career in his early years, playing European football for both FC Copenhagen and Club Brugges, before he was snapped up by Sam Allardyce in the Summer.

Unfortunately he’s been unable to break into the first team, which has led to him looking elsewhere for football, and his trial period with the Blades could lead to him joining Kevin Blackwell’s men on a permanent basis in January.
