A couple of weeks ago there was interest from Nottingham Forest and sister club Olympiacos for Max Lowe.

United rejected a bid from Greek giants Olympiacos earlier this summer, thus stating they value Lowe at £5M. Blades boss Paul Heckingbottom today revealed that Max Lowe will be staying with United this summer.

“There was a bid for Lowey. Ridiculously low bid. A lot less than what we paid for him. We like the lad, he’s gone out on loan and done really well and helped a team get promoted out of this league. That’s exactly what we want.” [Via Sheffield United YouTube]

The 25 year-old was said to have joined United in a £15M package deal [SkySports] in 2020, which included Jayden Bogle. The latter, Bogle, being the more expensive player in the deal.

Lowe has only played 11 games for the club since joining, before eventually being loaned out last season to Nottingham Forest where he had a successful spell there until suffering a groin injury in the second part of the season. Lowe did manage to recover in time to play in the Championship Play-Off final, helping Forest clinch promotion to the Premier League.

This season the left-wingback will try to repeat last seasons success that he had during his loan spell with Forest, and will of course be striving for another promotion.
