TalkSport radio presenter Adrian Durham has been under strong criticism in the last few days after he tipped Sheffield United for instant relegation.
Durham said live on air that; “Sheffield United are going down. They’re not even taking the Premier League seriously.” This was in relation to the signings United have made so far, with several coming from Championship clubs.
His comments have infuriated Blades supporters who took to social media to vent their anger. As you can see below, some comments made towards Mr Durham aren’t pleasant.

But fellow TalkSport presenter Tony Cascarino, who was a professional footballer for Aston Villa, Millwall and Chelsea, as well as being capped by Republic of Ireland, has jumped to the defence of the Blades insisting that Wilder ; “has overachieved for his entire career. If we get to the end of next season and Sheffield United have stayed up, and they’ve done it being entertaining, it wouldn’t surprise me.”

In our opinion, Sheffield United have played some entertaining football in the last few seasons. Having finished second in the Championship behind Norwich City last season, the Blades have more than deserved their place in the 2019/20 Premier League. Now we need to hope that we can hold our own in the top league.
