Estudiantes defender Elian Parrino has stated his desire to stay in England after playing a role in the Blades recent Championship campaign.

The defender, who was on an international loan deal insists he’s thoroughly enjoyed his season despite suffering relegation and an injury that prematurely ended his spell in the first team.

However, Parrino, who was converted to right-back and kept the experienced Nyron Nosworthy out of the team at the turn of the year believes he’s adapted well to English football.

‘I am grateful to have been given this opportunity with Sheffield United – the fans and staff at Sheffield United have been brilliant to me since I have been here’

I have played for Sheffield United at right-back. I hope the club and the fans were happy with the job I did and I had no hesitation when Micky Adams asked me to play for him in this position.

I’ve grown up playing at centre-back but I am happy to play in any position.’

he defender then spoke about his future believing a deal to be agreed before relegation to League 1 was confirmed.

‘A little earlier in the season, Sheffield United spoke to my agent and suggested that I would be given a contract at Bramall Lane next season and I was very happy about this but I have learned things can change quickly in football.

At the minute my agent is talking to people to see what other options there are.

Hopefully I will be playing my football next season in Europe and especially England.’

I’d certainly be interested in an offer to stay at Sheffield United if one did come up in the summer. But I just want to play football. That is why I am here.’
