Sheffield United rounded off a miserable 2010/11 season with a 4-0 defeat at Swansea City, breaking a new record in the process.

Goals from Scott Sinclair, Stephen Dobbie (2) and Leon Britton ensured the Blades didn`t finish on a high, and lost more games than in any season previous of their 121 year history.

George Long was handed a first-team debut, and began the game alongside fellow FA Youth Cup finalists Harry Maguire and Jordan Slew, whilst Matty Harriott and Terry Kennedy made their debuts from the bench.

Rob Kozluk began the game at left back shifting Joe Mattock into a midfield five behind Slew.

Long was called into action early on making two excellent saves including a fine reactionary stop, whilst at the other end, Lee Williamson should have given the Blades the lead after good work by Stephen Quinn.

The opener did eventually come midway through the first half when Dobbie swung a free-kick past everybody and inside the far post, giving the hosts a deserved lead.

Things went downhill from there in the second half with Shane Lowry being dismissed early on for deliberate handball to block a shot; Sinclair stepped up to take the penalty and dispatched past Long to double the home side`s lead.

Dobbie added a second on the hour mark before Leon Britton put the cherry on a very sour Blades cake with a goal from the edge of the box.
