The Blades have an 8pt advantage over 3rd-place Blackburn Rovers, but they can extend that gap to 11pts with another win on their travels on Monday night.

One key player that will be hoping to steer the Blades to victory is the orchestrator in midfield for the South Yorkshire side, Ollie Norwood.

Ollie Norwood has been a consistent and standout performer for the Blades this season, and he is showing no signs of letting off as he attempts to achieve his fourth promotion to the Premier League.

Speaking ahead of Monday night’s game against Queens Park Rangers, Norwood told Yorkshire Live:

“We’re happy where we are and it’s down to all the hard work that we’ve put in previous to this. We’ve got a lot of lads back from the World Cup break and you see the depth that we’ve got now and hopefully we can continue to do that [win] into the next few months of the season.”

United are in outstanding form winning their five straight Championship games. If you look even further back, Paul Heckingbottom’s men have won eight of their last nine games thus cementing their strong automatic promotion hopes.

The form of the experienced deep-lying playmaker Norwood has been a big reason for the success that United have seen so far this campaign.

Norwood is registering 2.3 key passes per game which ranks him 3rd in the entire league. The 31 year-old is one of the league’s most accurate passes of the football. Additionally, Norwood is the only player to be averaging over 7 long passes per game.
