Daniel Jebbison is still being monitored by Everton football club, according to football league world, after the side have just taken a massive injury hit, with star striker and former Blade Dominic Calvert-Lewin out for a few months with a knee injury.

Jebbison, 19, made four Premier League appearances for Sheffield United in the 20/21 season, and his debut came against Everton. Jebbison became one of the youngest ever Premier League goalscorers when he scored in United’s 1-0 win at Goodison Park.

This transfer speculation is reminiscent of when Sheffield United sold Dominic Calvert-Lewin to Everton back in 2016, that deal was only worth £1.5M according to Sky.

In hindsight that was an awful piece of business by the Blades, Calvert-Lewin has since gone on to score 45 goals for Everton and in doing so he’s been a regular selection in the England squad when he’s been fit.

There are quite a lot of resemblances between Jebbison and Calvert-Lewin. They are both tall forwards with lots of physicality and pace to burn. It is thought that Jebbison is much more progressed at this stage than what Calvert-Lewin was for United.

If the Merseyside club wants the teenager then they are going to have to pay a good fee + lots of add-ons, as United don’t want to make the same mistake that they did with Dominic Calvert-Lewin 6 years ago.
