Sheffield United have been dealt another blow with the news that Ched Evans is set to miss the rest of the season.

Evans, who got a rare start away from home in the 1-0 defeat to Peterborough United last night was withdrawn in under ten minutes, and it’s believed to be due to a broken collarbone.

‘Ched looks as if he’s done his collar bone and if that’s the case then we won’t be seeing him again until after the summer. It’s a massive blow.’

It came in a challenge with Posh ‘keeper Joe Lewis, and it’s unlikely the striker, signed for £750,000 in the Summer, will feature again before August.

Jamie Ward and Lee Williamson were also brought off prematurely, and it’s believed to be due to hamstring issues, a problem both players have had earlier this season.

‘Jamie and Lee have both tweaked their hamstrings so they’re huge doubts while Toni couldn’t play because of a calf strain.’

The Blades will be boosted with the return of Darius Henderson this Saturday for the visit of QPR, as the forward department is one of the few areas the squad have cover.
