Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell has expressed his disappointment at the manner of his side’s defeat to bottom of the league Peterborough United, claiming that the teams simply ‘did not create enough.’

It was another nail in the coffin for the Blades promotion hopes, as their grip on a play-off place continues to decrease.

‘There was a lot of effort but we didn’t create enough chances and those three injuries before half-time did affect us.

‘We started lively enough, Ched particularly, but the enforced changes stuffed us with regard to doing some of the things we had wanted to and some of our decision-making was lacking at times.

As for the goal that seperated the sides, the Blades boss put it down to slack marking, and was disappointed that the defence didn’t do more.

‘I was disappointed with the goal because it was a set-play we have worked on stopping. Henri Camara had to get back to do the marking job that Wardy was meant to have done and couldn’t because of his injury.’
