Much of the transfer talk for the forthcoming Summer is of potential targets for Kevin Blackwell to rebuild his squad, but it appears one significant member of his already threadbare squad could be going the other way.
Nick Montgomery is yet to agree a new deal at Bramall Lane, and it appears that an agreement is not forthcoming.
‘Monty wants to look and reflect. He won’t be short of offers’ added Blades boss Kevin Blackwell as he made a plea for the midfielder to stay.
As yet, nothing has been confirmed, but I would be very very surprised if Montgomery is returning to Shirecliffe for pre season training.
