Sheffield United striker Oli McBurnie has been linked with a potential move to Championship rivals West Bromwich Albion, however, the Blades could allow a fellow striker to leave the club on loan.

Football clubs in both the Premier League and the Football League have until midnight on 31st August 2022 to complete their summer transfer activity, and then won’t be able to sign any new players until 1st January 2023.

Sheffield United boss, Paul Heckingbottom has made several signings this summer but may allow (at least) one player to leave the club in a loan deal that could prove beneficial to both the player and the club.

Danish Under-19 international, Will Osula, has been linked with a loan move to League One outfit Lincoln City. The Imps will be searching for a new striker following the suspension of former Sheffield Wednesday forward Chris Maguire, who has been charged by the Football Association with a betting charge.

Osula, who has made 5 substitute appearances for the Blades last season was recently linked with a loan move to Championship and South Yorkshire rivals Rotherham United, though they were quashed by Millers’ manager Paul Warne.

A loan move for Osula will do the 19-year-old the world of good in his football education.
