There wasn’t a lot to fight for, other than perhaps a few million pounds when it comes to where we finish in the Premier League table.
So you could forgive the players for not being totally committed and taking their eye off the ball on the last day of the season. Just a shame it had to be an ex-Blade in Che Adams that put a dampener on the last day of what has been a fantastic season.
Sheffield United fell to defeat on the final day of the season, losing 3-1 at St Mary’s, but as I said it doesn’t really matter much in the grand scheme of things.
Will the Blades finish in the top half next season?
Yes
No
Which is why when the full time whistle went, there wasn’t much negativity going around on social media, instead it was used as a time of reflection for just how well we’ve done this season, especially given where some people had predicted us to finish.
Brill season could of gone out a bit better tho

Fantastic season. 9th place is remarkable but need to fix things for next season now that teams have worked is out or we're going to struggle. But for now, let's celebrate a remarkable record-setting season! Thank you lads!
