Sheffield United boss Nigel Clough is hoping to sort out a deal to bring in Stefan Scougall from Scottish Championship side Livingston ahead of the FA Cup tie with Fulham this weekend.

Clough is looking to sort out a permanent deal for the 21-year-old and he admits, he will be in the squad for the clash with Fulham if the deal goes through in time.

Speaking on BBC Radio Sheffield, Clough said, “We are down the line of getting Stefan Scougall from Livingston.

“We are trying to get it done in time for the FA Cup tie. It is complicated because we need international clearance. If we can get it done in time, he will be involved against Fulham.

“We want to get him involved as soon as possible but we really want to get him in ready for next season. The idea is to get him in now, get him some game time and settled in the area.”

Scougall has made 78 appearances for Livingston since making his debut as a 17-year-old.
