Paul Heckingbottom’s men have picked up their form this past week claiming two victories on the road which has bumped them up to 3rd. They are still 6pts behind Saturday’s opponents Burnley who remain 1st.

Sheffield United are only the 9th best home side in the Championship, and Burnley is the 2nd best-performing away team losing just one away game all season.

The Blades have accumulated 8pts from their last five matches. The Clarets have accumulated 13pts from their last five games.

United will welcome back Anel Ahmedhodzic at the weekend after serving a one-match suspension against Bristol City. Tommy Doyle remains a possibility to return after he missed Tuesday night’s fixture due to a calf injury. James McAtee, Jack Robinson and Chris Basham will be monitored.

Meanwhile, Burnley will continue to miss the long-term injured trio of Ashley Westwood, Scott Twine and Darko Churlinov. Josh Cullen remains a doubt, whilst Josh Brownhill will miss the game due to a one-match suspension.

I checked into a Burnley forum to see what the Clarets had to say about this fixture:

Burnley will unquestionably be resolute and hard to beat, the Blades need to win so a 1-1 draw looks inevitable, neither team will want to lose this Saturday midday match-up.

Burnley fans should expect to see a bruising encounter from an in-your-face Blades outfit led by striking pair Oliver McBurnie and Iliman Ndiaye.

I also checked the forum of Up The Clarets:

Need our better defenders on the pitch for Sheff U, and Jay and Tella both look in need of a rest.

Sheffield Utd is very physical, very lucky, 2 off the woodwork for Bristol city.

Norwood should have been off, now the Bristol city guy goes!

Fear for some of our lads on Saturday.

Blades fans, how are you feeling ahead of the clash against the top-of-the-league side?
