Football insider has reported that Club Brugge have agreed to a deal to sign Sander Berge.

They have stated that the Belgian club are applying finishing touches to the deal and Sander Berge’s contract.

However, well-respected journalist Alan Nixon has responded to the rumours linking the 24-year-old midfielder away from the club. Nixon said in a tweet “they [Brugge] have been after him [Berge] for weeks…need to make the right offer.”

A Sheffield United fan asked Alan Nixon about the chances of him signing for Club Brugge, to which he responded: “[Brugge] would need fortunes” to sign the Norwegian international.

For Sheffield United to lose Sander Berge this late into the window, on the final day of the summer transfer window, it’d be a huge blow. However Yorkshire Live has stated that the Blades have targets lined up just in case anybodies price tag or release clause is met.

Paul Heckingbottom has been vocal many times about Sander Berge, saying that he is a crucial part of the team and the club must keep him to have a serious go at automatic promotion this season.

Berge has started the season off in good form, scoring twice and assisting 2 teammates in the first 7 Championship games of the season.
