Sheffield United striker Daniel Bogdanovic has expressed his enjoyment of his time at Bramall Lane so far this season, but is still getting to grips with Micky Adams’ rotation policy.

Bogdanovic has been used primarily from the bench by the various managers this season, but has still managed to net three goals, and after starting the game against Aston Villa was left out of Saturday’s goalless draw at Coventry.

The former Barnsley striker told The Times of Malta, “Everything is going well here. I`ve been involved in 18 games, so I can`t complain.”

“From what I`ve seen so far, the new manager believes in the benefits of changing players from one game to the other to make full use of the resources at his disposal I was one of the best players in the FA Cup tie against Aston Villa but I was not in the team for the next league game against Coventry for tactical reasons. However, I`m optimistic of playing a part in Saturday`s game against Norwich as the manager has told me that I`m in his plans.”

Despite Adams, like his predecessors Kevin Blackwell and Gary Speed believing the Maltese international to be more effective as a substitute, “Boggy” has managed to praise them all, and more so himself.

“I accept that I`m not going to start all games, but, I must say that all the managers have treated me with respect and great professionalism. I feel that I`m doing my part to help the team as I`ve performed well in every game I`ve played. “There is no denying that I would like to start every game but that`s difficult when you have four to five strikers of the same level.

Following yesterday’s acquisition of Marcus Bent, the striker could find himself even further down the pecking order, but he does believe it will be a positive signing, and can help the Blades escape the relegation zone.

“The club has just brought in another striker, Marcus Bent, on loan from Birmingham. He`s a powerful forward and we needed someone like him to boost our attack.”
