Sheffield United have already set their blueprints ready ahead of the January transfer window, with the Blades, according to Peter O’Rourke at Football Insider, setting their transfer targets on Scotland Under-18s forward, Bobby Wales, from Scottish Premiership outfit Kilmarnock.

The January transfer window seems a far distance away, but will no doubt be in the back of managers’ heads as the infancy of the 2022-23 campaign progresses.

The youngster has progressed through Killie’s youth ranks and is on the cusp of making an appearance in the first team. He has already made an appearance, and scored for the Kilmarnock B squad in their 3-0 victory SPFL Trust Trophy victory over Cowdenbeath on 10th August.

It is unclear at this point whether there is any truth in this rumour, but it can only be assumed that if this deal was to come to fruition in January, then Wales will be seen as one for the future in an Academy program which has brought many stars to the beautiful game. Harry Maguire, Phil Jagielka, Kyle Walker, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Aaron Ramsdale and Illiman Ndiaye – to name a few.
