Jayden Bogle was handed his first start of the season in Tuesday night’s defeat to QPR. The right-wingback took part in the Blades media duty on Thursday afternoon ahead of the trip to Stoke.

It was the 22-year-olds first start for the Blades in eight months after recovering from a serious knee injury. Prior to the injury, Jayden Bogle was in terrific form and he was wowing supporters with his performances week in and week out.

Bogle was asked about his form in the lead-up to the injury back in February of this year:

“I was on my way to getting to my best, but I am through that injury now and I am back playing games.” [SUTV]

With Bogle now back to full fitness, United now have arguably their best offensive wingback available again and his creativity has been missed down the right-hand side for many months. On Tuesday night, the 22-year-old was forced to play down the left due to the defensive injuries the Blades have picked up.

He returns to peak fitness with United at the top of the table, and he insists that United must keep up the performance levels:

“The boys have done fantastic. Great bunch of players and staff. We know our aims for the season. We understand the position we are in, but we must not get carried away and keep performing.” [SUTV]

Bogle came on for the final 26 minutes against Birmingham last Saturday as well as starting on Tuesday night against QPR.

Already he is registering encouraging statistics. He is averaging 1.5 shots per game and 1 key pass per game. He has also created 1 big chance this season, which means he has already equalled the total number of big chances that George Baldock has created this season.

Despite going off early on Tuesday night, Jayden Bogle is in line to start on Saturday at Stoke. “It will be tough. No doubt about that. But we have the right type of players to go and get a result”, Bogle told SUTV as he previewed the weekend’s game.
