Sheffield United have completed the signing of Plymouth argyle defender Marcel Seip on loan until the end of the season.

The Dutchman, who spent the first half of the season with Blackpool will officially make the move on January 1st, but an agreement is in place for the deal to go through, allowing him to feature in the FA Cup tie with QPR this Sunday.

However, he will be unable to feature in the Coca-Cola Championship encounter between the Blades and Argyle in February.

It could be a further nail in the ever closing coffin on Matthew Kilgallon’s career at Bramall Lane, and with Kevin Blackwell already signing a replacement, it now leaves us with a question of when, rather than if, for the former Leeds defender’s ominous move.
