With SUFC becoming the ‘Loan Rangers’ of the Division, January could be set for movement of players at BDTBL to reduce the heavy reliance on loanees.

Kevin Blackwell has hinted that he has a shopping list, does much of this depend on funding from the sale of Kilgallon? Is Killa definitely on his way? Some reports suggest that the fat lady hasn’t sung on the deal yet, though we can all hear her warming up! If he goes, is Andrew Davies his likely replacement? I know someone who continually bangs on about Danny Shittu, is he the Killa replacement? Surely not.

Paddy is sitting at home twiddling his thumbs ’till April, will Blackie decide to extend the loan of much improved Mark Bunn? Do we want him to stay? What about Carl Ikeme, injured while on loan and now returned to his club, is he on the radar?

Toni Kallio made a huge impression on the travelling Blades fans at Plymouth and QPR, has Blackie seen enough to want to sign him?

Jonathan Fortune’s short contract is up mid January, we have had little chance to form an opinion on him, what should Blackie do?

In midfield, James Harper is at last beginning to remind us why we feared him so much when he was at Reading, should it be Blackwell’s first priority to make him ours, or are the terms of his season ‘loan’ agreement enough as it stands?

Richard Cresswell never seems to get any support from the fans, word is that the deal is already done for 400k in January, happy with that?

Billy Sharp is doing the business at Donny, their fans think all their birthdays have come at once. Many say he had more than enough chances at BDTBL and failed, what should the club do about The Dingles reported 750k bid? Should we recall him at the end of the season after he wins the Golden Boot and adds 1m to his value? What about a swop for Brian Stock, or is midfield OK now?

Jamie Ward’s stock keeps rising, are the rumours that Baggies are willing to pay 4m in January just paper talk? Would you sell him at that price?

Regarding the possible PURCHASES, who’s top of YOUR list? Nicky Bailey at Charlton has been talked about, is Victor Moses out of our league, is there anything in the Tonge return story…do we want him? Petr Halmosi is on his way out of Hull, would he be worth spending a few quid on?

Sean St Ledger is an outstanding defender, is he Killa’s replacement? Can we afford him? On the loan front, Watford are struggling to pay players, is there the opportunity to tempt young Cleverley away? (Yes, nasty I know, but this is Football after all). Would Gary Hooper add to the strikers, or is George Boyd a better bet? Do we NEED any more strikers?

Are their any ‘B’ list Premier League players who can’t even get on the bench with their clubs that we should be targeting? I hear that Spurs have a useful England U21 full back who isn’t getting any football at all – Spurs dont run a reserve team – who is from around these parts. He might like to have a few months football to remind him what fun it used to be.

One thing for sure, there WILL be a surprise or two, or three over the next four weeks.
