Sheffield United completed the signing of former academy product Billy Sharp yesterday for an undisclosed fee.
Sharp left the Blades for Scunthorpe two years ago and enjoyed two prolific seasons with the Irons, scoring an amazing 56 goals.
Sharp’s former team mate Jonathan Forte has left the Blades and signed a three year contract with Scunthorpe as part of the deal.
Speaking on United’s newest signing, Robson told the official club site,
‘I’m delighted to get Billy back here. He’s had a terrific scoring record since becoming a (first team) regular and we need more goals than we have had in the last couple of seasons.’
