Vital Sheff Utd member ‘Bladester’ recently left a post in the Vital Blades forum, which could spark debate amongst the regulars.

Here it is in full:

I was wondering the other day after all the recent debates about how we can’t keep hold of our players: If we hadn’t let go any of our players in the last decade, what could our starting lineup look like today?

know some might agree and some might disagree, but personally I would pick the following:

Paddy Kenny

Kyle Naughton, Matt Kilgallon, Phil Jagielka, Chris Armstrong

Jamie Ward, Michael Brown, Nick Montgomery, Michael Tonge

James Beattie, Rob Hulse

People have disagreed with Kevin Blackwell’s transfer policy recently, and the current Blades boss has sold five of the eleven posted, as well as signing one, and three still being very much a part of the side.
