January signing fails to impress…
Signed from Coventry City in January, Michael Doyle promised tenacity in abundance during his first game, before it all went a bit downhill for the midfielder.
Brought into the side alongside Nick Montgomery, Doyle added fight, and a lethal looking shot for ninety minutes of his Blades career, and not a lot else for the rest of it.
In the end Doyle made sixteen appearances for the Blades, although a highlights package would suggest he made just one. Whether he will have a long term future at Bramall Lane is yet to be seen, and League 1 may be a better fit to Doyle`s ability, especially with the potential departure of Nick Montgomery.
