Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell could look to Hameur Bouazza as a replacement for the injured Lee Williamson.

Williamson, signed from Watford in the summer made his only outing for the Blades in the 1-0 victory over Floriana in Malta.

‘Lee will be out for a while/ Possibly two or three months. Of course it isn’t good news. But when he does come back he should be raring to go and okay.’

The ex Millers midfielder was brought in to add strength and creativity to a lightweight midfield, but this latest set back means that Kevin Blackwell could be tempted to move into the transfer market.

Tuesday’s Sun linked the Blades with a move for free agent Hameur Bouazza. The ex Fulham midfielder recently joined Turkish side Sivasspor but was released from his contract after just five days and one game, stating ‘personal reasons’ as the reason.
