Sheffield United made it through the first round of the league cup against league 2 opposition tonight; we’ll need to cause an ‘upset’ to get into round three though.
The reward for the late two-one win at Bramall Lane against Mansfield Town in the first round is a second round meeting with premier league outfit West Ham United, of all clubs!
We’ll be at away this time, going to Upton Park the week commencing August 25th as Nigel Clough sends out the boys looking to pull off an upset against Big Sam’s, team notice I called him ‘Big Sam’ and wasn’t derogatory towards him.
Can we do it? I do think that West Ham and Sheffield United have some ‘unfinished business’, so I think we are owed one!
