Sheffield United’s latest signing Sam Vokes believes his new side have the ability to get out of danger, and secure their nPower Championship status.
Vokes, who signed at the 11th hour ahead of Tuesday night’s 1-1 draw with Reading has spoken of his new club, claiming that what he’s seen on the training ground, should suffice to climbing out of the dropzone.
“I`ve seen enough in training and during my first match to know there`s enough here.
Definitely enough.
“There are a lot of quality players here and a lot of potential too. What we`ve got to do is make that count.”
Vokes then added, ahead of United’s two crucial relegation six pointers against Crystal Palace and Scunthorpe:
“This is a massive game coming up. Well, to be honest, every single game between now and the end of the season is.
“It`s a six-pointer and what better way to go there (Scunthorpe) as well than on a high after getting a good win.
“Their result (against Forest) makes these games really, really important. But, we`ve also got to remember that, either way, nothing is going to get settled now.”
