The League 1 season continued with the latest round of matches played over the weekend.
Scunthorpe are now leading the way ahead of Sheffield United, up into the second automatic place. MK Dons, Oldham, Shrewsbury and Chesterfield continue to make up the bottom four.

A win and Scunthorpe would maintain the lead, and at least keep the gap they had at the top. They did just that seeing off struggling Oldham with a one-nil win at Glanford Park.
Bradford started the day in second behind them but slipped back to fourth after three-nil defeat at Southend. Second place was taken by Sheffield United as a result after the unbeaten run in the league was extended with a two-one win over struggling Shrewsbury, who had a couple of players sent off at Bramall Lane. The Blades’ promotion push is very much on!
Millwall’s improved form came to an end at Bolton maintain their own promotion push with a two-nil win over the Lions at the Macron Stadium to see the Trotters in third but behind Sheffield United on goal-difference alone.
A point at Bristol Rovers wasn’t enough for MK Dons to take them out of the bottom four, this nil-nil draw kept the side who were in the Championship last season still in trouble as are Chesterfield with the basement side beaten again, losing two-one at Fleetwood.
Wimbledon move back into the play-off places again with a five-one thrashing of Bury, who have slipped away from a promotion push they had been on earlier in the season but managerless Charlton collected three-points when Port Vale were seen off two-nil at the Valley, the Addicks were under caretaker Kevin Nugent who had been assisting Russell Slade before he was sacked.
It was being feared Oxford could get sucked into the bottom four but an impressive four-one win against Coventry at the Kassam Stadium helped to ease those concerns for a while but Swindon’s own troubles are back on after a four-nil thrashing at Rochdale.
