Sheffield United yesterday confirmed the pre season schedule for Chris Wilder’s first season in charge.
Wilder will take charge of the side for the first time – in the home dug out – when Derby County and their new manager Nigel Pearson visit on Wednesday July 27 with a 7.45pm kick off.
The pre season campaign kicks off ahead of then though of course.
It begins with a trip to the Look Local Stadium to face Stocksbridge Park steels on Saturday July 9, with a 3pm kick off.
There will then be a training camp away where a friendly is hoped to be arranged, and United next head to promoted League Two side Grimsby Town and Blundell Park for a game on Saturday July 23.
We round of the pre season campaign ahead of the League One kick off on Saturday August 6 with a game on Friday July 29 against Handsworth Parramore at the Windsor Food Service Stadium, Sandy Lane – home of Worksop Town – at 7.45pm.
Ticket information for the games is yet to be set, and further announcements will be made along with the friendly schedule for U21s and U18s.
