Saturday’s Championship action saw Leeds United visit Bramall Lane and with both sides flying high in the league table in the campaign of 2018/19, the match was set to be tasty.

Unfortunately for manager Chris Wilder’s side, the visitors found the back of the net after an avoidable defensive blunder and took the lead and the game in the 82nd minute of the second half.

The frustration for the Blades in the Yorkshire derby was, granted Marcelo Bielsa’s side had more efforts between the posts, we had the better possession and more efforts at goal but we just didn’t make them count and we let them do more with the ball than we managed and that was demonstrated by Whoscored’s player ratings on the day.

Enda Stevens came out as Man of the Match on their system with 6.80 and he was followed by George Baldock (6.74), Jack O’Connell (6.70), David McGoldrick (6.67) and Oliver Norwood (6.62).

By comparison, Leeds had six players with a 7+ rating and that was the difference.

Onwards to the next match now and a return to winning ways hopefully.
