Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Kenny Jackett expects Kevin McDonald to sign for the club on Wednesday.
The Sheffield United midfielder held talks with Wolves at the end of last week and underwent a medical after the two clubs agreed a fee.
The 24-year-old, who scored the opening goal of the Football League season, played no part for United at the weekend in their defeat at Brentford.
