Sheffield United boss Danny Wilson thought his side were fantastic at times but they were left frustrated as they struggled to break down a resolute MK Dons defence in a 0-0 draw at Bramall Lane.
In a tight encounter of few clear-cut chances, Wilson felt his side were unfortunate not to take the three points.
Speaking on Radio Sheffield, Wilson said, ‘If you’re not going to get the win, you make sure you don’t lose.
‘I thought the performance was fantastic at times. We can’t really be critical in the way we’ve played, we’ve just been unfortunate in the chances that we’ve had.’
Barry Robson and Jonathan Forte had the best chances for the home side.
Robson tested Ian McLoughlin the Dons goal with an early effort and he saw his header go just over in the first half after good work from Dave Kitson.
Substitute Forte almost made an instant impact when he got in behind the Dons defence but McLoughlin once again came to the visitors rescue, deflecting his effort wide for a corner.
