Sheffield United boss David Weir could not hide his disappoint after seeing his side lose 3-1 at Rotherham United.

The blades had led at half time thanks to a Jose Baxter goal but Weir was critical of his sides play in the second half, as they conceded three times.

Speaking on Radio Sheffield, Weir said, ‘Obviously we are massively disappointed with the way the game turned out.

‘We got ourselves in a real good position in the first half. We played really well and deserved to be ahead.

‘The second half is a massive disappointment. There were some big mistakes for the goals and I am really disappointed to lose the game in that manner.’

The defeat means the blades have picked up just four points from their first six games, their worst start to a season since their season in the Premier League in 2006/07.

Weir will be desperate for his side to pick something up from next weekend`s game when they travel to Carlisle United, who are also struggling in League One this season.

The Carlisle game is followed with tough looking games against Preston North End and Wolverhampton Wanderers and the pressure will be building on Weir who is just a month into his first season in football management.
