Sheffield United drew their second pre-season friendly of the season at Cowdenbeath on Saturday.

The game, their second of their pre-season tour of Scotland, saw them draw 1-1 with their Scottish First Division opponents.

New boss David Weir once again used two different sides in each half and he once again included trialist Roy Kayara but there was no place for Scottish duo Danny Grainger or Steven Saunders who featured at Greenock Moreton in midweek.

The blades led at half time when Chris Porter, who scored the only goal of the game at Moreton, was on hand to score from close range just before half time.

Cowdenbeath equalised just past the hour with a long-range effort to earn the home side a draw in front of just under 500 fans.

United will now prepare for the final game of their pre-season tour of Scotland when they travel to Raith Rovers on Wednesday night.

First half:
Howard, Westlake, Maguire, Higginbotham, McGinty, Whitehouse, McDonald, Doyle (Smith 12), Brandy, Murphy, Porter.

Second half:
Willis, Hodder, Collins, Hill, Williams, Smith (Whitehouse 65), McGinn, McFadzean, Ironside, Cresswell, Kayara.
